Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 7, 2026 Last updated: June 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how GPS Camera Buddy (the App), developed by Busy People Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use the App, our website, advertising features, support services, and optional third-party integrations.

Your photos, videos, notes, precise GPS coordinates, and embedded media metadata are designed to remain on your device unless you choose to upload or share them. The free version may display ads through Google AdMob, which processes separate device, advertising, network, usage, and diagnostic information as described below.

1. Information Used for Core App Features

Photos, videos, notes, and metadata

The App can capture, import, organize, edit, and save photos and videos. Notes, dates, timestamps, and EXIF metadata you add are stored with the media or in app-managed storage on your device. We do not operate a server that automatically receives copies of your photos or videos.

Camera, microphone, and Photos permissions

  • Camera access to capture photos and videos.
  • Microphone access to record audio with videos.
  • Photo library access to save and organize media into albums you choose.

Location information

If you grant Location permission, the App can associate precise GPS coordinates with media and help you navigate back to a capture location. This precise location information is used for App features and is not intentionally provided by us to Google AdMob for advertising. You can change permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

2. Uploads and Optional Third-Party Services

You may choose to upload or share media through services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, or the iOS share sheet. Uploads and shares occur only when you initiate them. The selected provider processes the information under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your photos, videos, notes, or precise GPS coordinates.

3. Google AdMob and Advertising Data

The free version of GPS Camera Buddy may use Google AdMob, a service provided by Google LLC, to display ads. When an ad is requested or displayed, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and participating advertising partners may automatically collect, receive, or process information such as:

  • Advertising identifiers, including Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) when available and permitted, or an Android Advertising ID if an Android version is offered;
  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
  • Device model, operating system, language, screen size, carrier, and app version;
  • Ad impressions, clicks, interactions, frequency, and conversion information;
  • App usage, performance, crash, and diagnostic information; and
  • Consent choices and privacy signals associated with the device.

Google and its advertising partners may use this information to provide, measure, limit the frequency of, prevent fraud involving, and improve advertising. Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and applicable law, ads may be personalized using information about your interests or non-personalized using contextual and limited signals.

We do not intentionally send your photos, videos, notes, photo-library contents, or precise GPS coordinates to AdMob. Advertising providers may independently combine information processed through their services with other information as described in their policies.

4. Consent and Advertising Choices

Where required, GPS Camera Buddy uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent or present privacy choices before requesting eligible ads. You may decline or withdraw consent without losing access to the App's core camera and media features, although the ads shown may be limited or non-personalized.

  • Use Settings ? Manage Advertising Privacy in the App when that option is available to review or change consent and opt-out choices.
  • On iOS, manage tracking permission under Settings ? Privacy & Security ? Tracking.
  • Manage Google ad personalization at Google My Ad Center.
  • You may also contact us at support@gpscamerabuddy.com.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal. Certain limited processing may continue where permitted for security, fraud prevention, frequency capping, legal compliance, or contextual advertising.

5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), allowing advertising partners to process identifiers, IP addresses, device information, and internet or app activity for personalized or cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "sharing."

California residents may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and the use of personal information for targeted advertising by opening Settings ? Manage Advertising Privacy in GPS Camera Buddy and selecting the available opt-out option. You may also email support@gpscamerabuddy.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share."

In the preceding 12 months, the categories that may have been disclosed to advertising providers include identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, and usage or diagnostic information. These disclosures support advertising, measurement, analytics related to ad performance, frequency capping, security, and fraud prevention. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

California residents may also have rights to know, access, correct, or delete covered personal information; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service without discrimination for exercising privacy rights. We may need to verify a request before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. These rights do not necessarily apply to information controlled independently by Google or another third party; requests concerning that information should also be directed to the relevant provider.

6. Data Retention, Security, and Deletion

App-created media and metadata remain under your control on your device until you edit or delete them. If you contact support, we retain the communication only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and comply with law. Advertising data is retained by Google and its partners according to their policies.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. See our Delete Data page for instructions concerning device data, connected services, and support communications.

7. Children's Privacy

GPS Camera Buddy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. International and Regional Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; withdraw consent; or receive a portable copy of certain information. EEA, UK, and Swiss users are presented with consent choices through Google's certified consent management platform where required. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, advertising services, or legal requirements change. We will revise the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice when required.
